When I volunteered to add this to my responsibilities of writing a weekly contribution on Tuesdays, I decided to follow a rule I will be following when I add "Manly Monday Pics" to my own Blog soon. (Mondays' Manly Pics? Any suggestions?)
As writers, we depend on our copyrights. We should therefore respect the copyrights of other artist, such as photographers, but photos of images of scantly clad males and females flit around the Internet without the permission of the creator. I do some photography and photomanipulation art, and have found some of MY stuff on strange Blogs.
So here are my rules; I've asked a group of photographers and artist at DeviantArt.com who I already know for permission to use their material. Two photographers have given me total permission to use their images, but I have promised to include a link back to their pages. some of them sell art quality prints of their work to support their art. Another's permission is dependent on the models giving me permission. Others are pending.
I WILL use vintage photos that are from unknown sources, and obviously not current. Technically I am violating SOMEONE'S copyright, but there are limits to my time, and this is non-profit.
For my first presentation, I will feature the work of my friend Andrei from Russia, and i used two of his works on my own website: one for the banner, and one for the title picture for Works In Progress Wednesdays. I think that Andrei is brilliant, and he finds most of his models at his local gym, so if you like young body-builders, check out his page at : http://vishstudio.deviantart.com/

This photo of a smiling leatherman, titled "Making of" greets visitors to my Blog - the background blurred to put my name and slogan "Love, Lust, Laugh" on it for my Banner.
This strangely names photo: "Successful Birth Experience" is Andrei of Vishstudio with a new camera.
